How to Connect Rust+ Mobile App to Your Server

What is Rust+?

Rust+ is the official companion app by Facepunch. It lets you:

• Receive push notifications for raids, team alerts, and events
• View the live server map from your phone
• Control smart switches (lights, turrets, doors) remotely
• Chat with players on your server
• Check who is online

Requirements

• Download the Rust+ app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
• Your server must have the Rust+ Companion port (app.port) allocated and accessible — this is a separate port from your game port. Check the Network tab in your panel for the companion port allocation
• If you do not see a companion port, open a Technical Support ticket and we will allocate one for you

How to Pair

1. Open Rust on your PC and connect to your server
2. Open your in-game menu (Escape key)
3. Click Rust+ at the bottom of the menu
4. A QR code or pairing prompt will appear
5. Open the Rust+ app on your phone and scan the code or follow the pairing instructions

Note: Any player can pair with Rust+ — you do not need to be a server admin. Admin status is only needed for certain server management features within the app.

Important Notes

• Pairing resets after every wipe — you will need to re-pair after each map wipe
• Team features — to share the live map with teammates, you must be in a team in-game
• For app-specific bugs or issues, refer to the official Rust community forums or Facepunch support
