Welcome to Your Terraria Server!
This guide walks you through everything you need after purchasing your Terraria or tModLoader server.
Step 1: Check Your Email
After payment, you will receive an email with:
- Panel URL — Link to your game panel
- Username — Your email address
- Password — Your panel login password
- Server IP and Port — What players use to connect (default Terraria port:
7777)
Step 2: Start Your Server
- Log into your game panel and select your server
- Check the Startup tab — make sure the world name and other settings are configured
- Click Start on the Console tab
- The server will generate a new world on first startup. This may take a minute depending on world size
Step 3: Connect
See our How to Connect guide for detailed instructions.
Server Configuration
Key settings can be configured in the Startup tab:
- World Name — The name of your world
- World Size — Small, Medium, or Large
- Max Players — Player slot limit
- Server Password — Password to join (leave blank for public)
- Difficulty — Classic, Expert, Master, or Journey
tModLoader vs Vanilla
If your server runs tModLoader, it supports mods. Vanilla Terraria servers do not support mods. Check the Startup tab to see which version you are running.
Next Steps
- Add mods — See our tModLoader Mods Guide
- Change tModLoader version — See our Version Change Guide
