How to Create and Restore Server Backups

## Creating a Backup

- Go to the **Backups** tab in your game panel
- Click **Create Backup**
- Optionally name the backup and select which files to include/exclude
- Wait for the backup to complete

## Restoring from a Backup

- Go to the **Backups** tab
- Find the backup you want to restore
- Click the three dots menu (⋮) and select **Restore**
- Choose whether to delete current files before restoring
- Wait for the restoration to complete, then start your server

## Best Practices

- Create a backup **before** making any major changes (version upgrades, mod changes, world edits)
- There is a limit on the number of backups you can store. Delete old ones you no longer need
- Backups do not count toward your disk space allocation
- You can download backups to your local computer for safekeeping

## Important: Backup Responsibility

- **Backups are your responsibility.** We do not maintain backups on your behalf
- When a server is deleted (due to cancellation or non-payment), **all backups are permanently deleted** along with it
- Deleted backups cannot be recovered under any circumstances
- If you do not plan to renew your server, **download your backups to your local computer before the server expires**
