Understanding the Version Changer

You can change or downgrade your Minecraft server version directly from the game panel using the Version Changer tool — no need to contact support.

Before You Change Versions

Create a backup first. Go to the Backups tab and create a backup before changing versions. Downgrading can cause world corruption if newer blocks or features were used.

How to Change Your Version

  1. Log into your game panel
  2. Select your server
  3. Open the Version Changer tool
  4. Select the server type (Vanilla, Paper, Forge, Fabric, etc.)
  5. Choose the version you want
  6. Confirm the change and restart your server

Important Notes

  • Downgrading risks: Moving from a newer version to an older one may cause issues if your world contains blocks, items, or terrain features that do not exist in the older version. For example, downgrading from 1.20+ removes cherry blossom and bamboo wood blocks
  • World height changes: Minecraft 1.18 changed the world height from 256 to 384 blocks. Downgrading from 1.18+ to 1.17 or earlier can cause significant world issues
  • Mod/plugin compatibility: After changing versions, verify that your mods and plugins are compatible with the new version. Most plugins and mods are version-specific
