How to Install Mods on Your Palworld Server

Mod Support

Palworld supports mods via the Unreal Engine 5 .pak file format. Mods are distributed primarily through Nexus Mods.

Installing Mods

  1. Download the mod .pak file from Nexus Mods
  2. In your game panel, go to the Files tab
  3. Navigate to Pal/Content/Paks/
  4. Upload the .pak file
  5. Restart your server

Client-Side Requirements

Most content mods require both the server and all connecting players to have the same mods installed. Server-side-only mods (logic or rate changes) may not require client installation — check the mod description.

Important Notes

  • After a Palworld game update, mods may become incompatible. Always check mod compatibility before updating your server
  • The Pterodactyl panel does not have built-in mod management for Palworld — mods must be uploaded manually via the Files tab or SFTP
  • Too many mods or large mods will increase RAM usage. Monitor your resources after installing mods
