## What This Error Means
This error means the server cannot find the file needed to start. This file is the core of your Minecraft server.
## How to Fix It
## Option 1: Reinstall (Easiest)
- Go to **Settings** in your game panel
- Click **Reinstall**
- This will download the correct based on your server type and version
- Start the server
## Option 2: Check Version Settings
If reinstalling doesn't work, the version in your Startup tab may be incorrect:
- Go to the **Startup** tab
- Check the **Server Version** field
- Make sure the version string is exact and valid (e.g., , not )
- When in doubt, type **latest**
- Go back to Settings and Reinstall
## Troubleshooting
- **Jar still missing after reinstall** — The version string is likely wrong. Minecraft's download servers must have that exact version available
- **Check server logs** — Look at the console output for additional error details
- **Incompatible files** — If you migrated files from another server, make sure your plugins/mods match the server type (don't use Spigot plugins on a Forge server)
